You’re thinking you need a therapist…

Have you had a traumatic experience that nags at you every day, or impacts your feelings or behaviors unexpectedly? Or, do you feel that stress and anxiety have gradually built up to a point where you might break? Do you feel completely burned out? Are you so stressed that you can’t wind down enough to sleep? Is insomnia keeping you from recovering from the stress of each day? Are you unable to fulfill expectations at home or work because you feel anxious, jumpy and completely worn out? Are you questioning how you can go on the way things are? Are you realizing that your mental health is your health?

Maybe you have tried to find solutions on your own. You have read books, articles, blogs and listened to podcasts. All these things might help, but think that there is something you would gain from a personal connection. Maybe you have been in therapy before and had a healing experience. Or, you have had therapy in the past and didn’t find relief, but are ready to try it again.

I help fearful, yet motivated men and women bravely reclaim themselves from trauma, anxiety, burnout and loss of sleep. Through our work, clients reflect feeling more grounded and re-engaged in their lives. Clients see things differently and are often surprised at how calm they become after working through trauma. Anxiety settles and they notice they are less jumpy. The burnout lifts as they gain boundaries at work and a feeling of purpose resurfaces. Sleep is restful once again this recovery fuels productivity and resilience throughout each day.

Together, we will be look for improvement, change, and insight. Over time, we will look for what is different and why. I encourage feedback… the whole lot of it from glowing to critical. In order for therapy to be transformative, I know that I’ll need to adjust my approach with each person, in each session, and that takes open communication. In sum, communication is everything.

Thinking you might be ready to try eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma? Yep, I want to know that. Hypnosis to quiet anxious, racing thoughts? We can do that too. Are you more into structure and homework to link your sessions and want to use, say cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia to tidy up your sleep? I’ve got you. We’ll work together to craft a path unique to you and make sure that things are getting better as a result.
